When should I Join? Which PRO Should I Join?

What is PRO?

PRO stands for Performing Rights Organization. The three main PROs are ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers), BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) and SESAC (Society of European Stage Authors and Composers). These PRO’s are collect and distribute performance royalties for their members. So, if you are a songwriter you can join at anytime in your writing career.

Free for Writers • $125 to $250 for Publishers
